We determine which component has failed (mechanical, electronic, firmware or logical) as this determines the cost, time and likelihood of repair. This service is provided at no charge, without obligation.
Before we start work we agree a fixed total cost. The final cost cannot be increased during the process and should we believe software could do the job we will state that.
A full image of your device is made read-only. Then all the data is restored using that single image. Your original is never modified. Files are examined to determine damage by opening files, not by counting them.

We will tell you whether your files have been lost forever. Since it is impossible to decrypt modern ransomware, a TRIMmed SSD has really removed all of your previously-deleted files, and there is no way anyone can restore a soldered Mac with a dead logic board, we’ll let you know about this before you ever send us money. Any company promising to do so is describing older flawed strains or trying to sell you some other product.
The cost of our services is published; therefore, you will know how much you owe in advance. This includes: £250 memory card and/or USB stick, £300 each for individual hard drive/SSD/laptop/Mac with removable storage, £550 flat for Fusion Drives, £500+ for RAID/NAS/server, £800 flat for BitLocker encrypted items, £300 flat for CCTV and £1,250+ for SAN; all prices are + VAT. In most cases you only pay if we recover your data. On those occasions, where we need to perform physical repair to the drive(s), we require a 50% deposit prior to commencing work on the condition that full payment is only made upon successful recovery of your data.
